She Eats and Plays until she's ASLEEP!?!

Katie loves to TRY to feed herself but isn't very successful at it! She has been drooling like crazy and very "chewy" as well. A few weeks ago I thought those teeth were ready to show themselves, but they have stalled and there has not been any sign of teeth, except for the excessive drool!

Katie is a "pro" at rolling over onto her tummy, but hasn't figured out how to flip back onto her back yet. She depends on Sabrina to flip her. :)




Katie loves her entertainment center sooo much. Sometimes it's the only thing that will please her at the 6:00pm fussy time of the evening. I love it so that I can feed everyone else since cooking while holding a 5 month old isn't the safest. She has figured out depth and is now grabbing everything that we have in our hands. Of course everything is going into her mouth, so Barbie, Polly Pockets, Legos, boardgames; watch out! You're all about to be cleaned up and stored somewhere safe.

Katie actually slept like this for 45 minutes!!

Happy Halloween!

We were super cute for our first halloween. The girls were witches and Kate was a kitty cat!

Good Morning Katie!

Katie loves her bunny blanket. Brett and I have been opening the windows at night because it has been so nice and cool, but Katie likes to stay warm...um, hot!

She loves being bundled all the time. She's definitely a southern peach!

We have hit some milestones lately, as we approach four months. Katie has discovered that she has two hands that can touch each other. She plays with her hands all the time!

We're teething!

Every chance Katie gets she chews on her index and middle fingers all the time! Brett checked her gums last night and it seems that the tooth bud on the top right has a tooth that is almost ready to cause some major drama in our household. So far we're still a very happy baby.

We visited the pumpkin patch this past weekend. It was so much fun eatiing funnel cake and chasing the kids through the corn maze.

She grows and grows!

Katie is a true wonder for Brett and I. She amazes us with the milestones that she is approaching and by how long she is growing. I am so very happy for her that her legs are nice and long. I always wanted a few more inches in height to be able to spread out a few extra pounds. :)





Katie is now over 2 feet tall and she is wearing 3-6 month in her torso (ie: onsies) and 6-9 month bottoms. She is a very easy, calm baby. She doesn't cry very much and we are on our 3rd week of evening cereal feedings which are facilitating great night sleeps! Brett and I are ecstatic about that.





Katie likes to be bundled up at anytime of the day, but now that there is a chill in the air from time to time she loves to be bundled for a relaxing jog.

She's growing so BIG!

For Katie's 2 month check up we arrived 2 weeks late. At her visit in Mid-September she weighted 11 pounds and 7 ounces! she was a perfect 2 feet tall and healthy as can be!

The doctor suggested to help our little chubby monkey to sleep through the night that we could try giving her a tablespoon of cereal at night. Along with bundling her up really well, it seems to be helping. She's a very hot baby. We received so many very beautiful fluffy blankets when she was born and at one point I asked Brett when in the world will we be able to use all of them. Since we live in the south I never thought that we'd be able to put some of the fluffier ones to good use, but on the contrary she LOVES them! Brett and I love the cool air at night and it seems that she is the exact opposite. So no worries to blanket givers, we are getting PLENTY of use out of them.

It's PLAYTIME! We have been very interested in playing lately. She loves her play mat and her crib toys. She doesn't play with individual things yet but anything that she can sit and look at is fascinating right now!

Katie Goes to School!

On Friday's I volunteer at Sabrina's Elementary School. Katie goes with me so that Daddy can work during the daytime. She is becomming a very good little hall monitor. All of the kids that pass by all look over at her and wisper "It's a baby!". They all quiet down and walk by slowly. Luckily Katie can sleep through anything, because once they are 5 steps away they quickly forget that they need to continue down the hall quietly and slowly. We always have tons of fun helping out Sabrina's teacher.

We also had fun going for our Daily run. She's getting long. I think she has been blessed with Daddy's long legs. :)

She decided to take her bunny blanket with us today.
